What is the Working Principle of the High Current Adjustable Temperature Controller?

time:2024-08-22 15:23:16 author:小编 click:order

The working principle of the high current adjustable temperature controller is generally as follows:

First, temperature detection part

Temperature sensors (such as thermistors, thermocouples, etc.) are usually used to sense the temperature of the controlled object. The resistance value or potential of the temperature sensor changes with the change of temperature.

When the temperature changes, the temperature sensor converts the temperature signal into an electrical signal, which is usually a voltage or resistance value proportional to the temperature.

Second, signal processing part

Signal amplification and conversion:

The electrical signal output of the temperature sensor is often weak, and it needs to be amplified by the amplifier circuit to achieve the amplitude required by the subsequent processing circuit.

Some thermostats also convert analog signals to digital signals for more precise processing and control.

Comparison and judgment:

The amplified temperature signal is fed into a comparison circuit and compared with a preset temperature value.

The preset temperature value can be set by means of adjustment knob, key or digital input on the thermostat.

Three, control the output part

When the detected temperature is lower than the preset temperature:

In the case of a high current load, the thermostat may turn on the load circuit by controlling a switching element such as a high-power relay, contactor, or solid-state relay, so that the current through the load begins to heat or operate the device.

For some smart thermostats, the output power can also be adjusted according to the size of the temperature difference to achieve more accurate temperature control.

When the detected temperature reaches or exceeds the preset temperature:

The thermostat will cut off the load circuit and stop the power supply to the load, so that the load stops heating or running to prevent the temperature from continuing to rise.

By constantly detecting the temperature, comparing the temperature and controlling the output, the high current adjustable temperature controller can keep the temperature of the controlled object in a set range, and realize the temperature regulation and control of the high current load.
